Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Family Eye Care a proud provider of vision care products and services in Erie.

Dr. Jill Cuthbertson

Dr. Cuthbertson graduated from Gannon University in 1991 with her Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She continued her studies at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia where she graduated in the top 10 of her 1996 class. She is certified by the American Board of Optometry.  This certification requires that Dr. Cuthbertson maintain more clinical education and submit to advanced testing that is above and beyond what is required by the Pennsylvania Board of Optometry.  She has been practicing in the Erie area for 22 years. She bought her own practice, Family Eye Care, in June 2014.

Dr. Cuthbertson enjoys helping patients with their visual needs as well as helping to diagnosis and treat ocular diseases including dry eye syndrome and macular degeneration.

Katelyn O’Brien

Katelyn has been a part of the Family Eye Care team for almost 3 years and has been in the optical industry for over 17 years.  She is an optician with a vast knowledge of lens designs and materials to fit your lifestyle needs.  Katelyn also works as the doctor’s technician and performs contact lens fittings and diagnostic tests.  As the primary frame buyer, Katelyn takes great pride in the selection of frames we offer.  Katelyn has a knack for helping each patient find the perfect pair of glasses.

She feels that the biggest reward of her job is helping patients find the “perfect frame” and seeing the smile on their face when they pick up their new glasses. Katelyn is happy to help patients with all their optical needs.
